Captured Moments

Here are some of those videos I promised you earlier.  They are some fun moments from Meemaw and Uncle Justin's visit.  And as promised to Justin, the video of him dancing is not among these posted (for Christmas I got the video game, Just Dance.  It has characters on the screen dancing, and you are supposed to try and mimic their movements.  It is my exercise plan for this year, plus it is really fun.  Anyway, Justin tried it out and we got a video of it).  Maybe if we all sign a petition (just add your signature in the comments section of this post), Justin will have a change of heart and let me post it.  It really is a fun video!!  And here are also some fun videos:

The Holidays are about Christ, family, giving, and of course... the food.  I think everyone here in Idaho gained about 10 pounds during their holiday visit:)  And Mitchell also enjoyed the food.  He really bonded with his Meemaw over food (i.e. She fed him a lot, and he liked it).  Here are a few shots of Mitchell eating:

Mitchell loves his food.  He gets really excited when you put him
in his chair, because he knows what is coming:  food!  Notice he
opened wide every time that spoon got slightly close to him.

Mitchell gets so excited when he sees a bottle; he shakes his legs and arms,
and starts moaning and cuing for it.  Haha, and if you try and take it away
for just one second, he will let you know it's not cool:)

For Christmas, Santa got Mitchell some yummy yogurt puff snacks.  They
are pretty much puff cereal dipped in yogurt.  Anyways, it is the first time
Mitchell had solid food that wasn't pureed.  We were out to dinner for
New Year's Eve.  Haha, it is so cute to watch him "chewing" something.

Ok, every parent has those "cruel" moments where you "torture" your
child, just like your parents did to you, their parents did to them, etc.
So, we just couldn't resist and had one of those moments with Mitchell,
only, he enjoyed it!!  What?!!  Here we are, being cruel, and feeding Mitchell
a lemon.  We were waiting to see that cute, scrunched up, sour face every
kid makes, but we were left disappointed.  It didn't even phase him.  Haha,
I wish I could have shown you Meemaw's face after she tried the lemon,
because it was definitely a scrunched up, sour face.  She said those lemons
were particularly sour, so she has no idea how Mitchell did not squirm when
eating it.  What can I tell ya?  The kid is a pro.

Alright, beyond eating, here are some fun moments we had just enjoying each others' company.  They really aren't the holidays unless family is around to share them with.  We were so glad Meemaw and Uncle Justin were able to come out and visit.  And again, we wanted to say thank you to all of our family who could not make it to Idaho, but sent their love, gifts, warm wishes, and who were with us in our hearts.  We love and miss you guys:

Our neighbor every year, (well, this is our first year here, but
we were told he does it every year) puts up a huge light show
with his Christmas lights.  Now, it's not lit up as brightly as the
Griswold's house from Christmas Vacation, but our neighbor does
something even cooler:  he programs his lights to blink and flash with
Christmas music from a local radio station.  It was pretty cool, take a look:

Mitchell was not left short of any kisses during Meemaw's visit.  Of
course, we also had to give him all the kisses that everyone sent from
Missouri:)  It is really cute when he gets to giggling from all the lovin'.

For Christmas, Mitchell's Great Aunt Vonnie sent him his first
hat that wasn't a stocking cap.  Haha, we put it on him and he
was a little confused about what was on his head.  He kept trying
to get a hold of it; it was so cute!
