Bring on the spoiling!! On May 31st, Mitchell had his second birthday party with all of our friends and family in the Springfield area. Party number one had a candy theme, and party number two had a... you guessed it... Star Wars theme. Meemaw was kind enough to host the party at her house and really went above and beyond to help us organize the party; thank you Meemaw!! Mitchell did get his own cake to smash, but alas, he did not seem interested in smashing it. In fact, at one point he accidentally touched the cake and immediately shook off the icing from his hand. Haha, oh well, I guess we can't be too disappointed our son didn't want to plant his face in a giant pile of sugar:) Thank you to everyone who came to celebrate Mitchell's first year, and thank you for all of the wonderful gifts you gave to Mitchell. We couldn't have asked for better 1st birthday party celebrations for our sweet baby boy!! Everyone helped to make his day so special.

| Mitchell's Star Wars party invites. They're supposed to look like the opening crawl on Star Wars. |
 |
| TWO of Mitchell's THREE birthday cakes. Yeah, talk about spoiled:) Guests were instructed to "Choose a Side." Either the good, light, Jedi plates, Yoda napkins, vanilla R2D2 cake side, OR the dark, evil, bounty hunter plates, Darth Vader napkins, chocolate Vader cake side. I should have paid more attention to who chose which side, so we would then all know who is good or evil in the family:) Just kidding... both cakes were delicious!! |
 |
| Mitchell's third, personal cake. He was supposed to smash it, but did not:) |
 |
| Mitchell playing with Taylor. She is the daughter of friends of ours, Chris and Cassi Marsh. Mitchell was mesmerized by her. It is funny how little kids can recognize other little kids. This isn't the best shot of them, but they were playing too much to get a clear picture. |

| A sweet moment captured of Uncle Justin feeding Mitchell. Mitchell just needed a little snack break during the party:) |
Happy Birthday Sweet Boy!! Trust me, with having us as parents, someday you will grow to love cake:)
More then Welcome
