It's Christmas Time

"It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas..."  Well, Thanksgiving is over so this house has gone into full Christmas mode.  But let me tell you, decorating for Christmas with a toddler around is a whole different world.  Haha, both fun and frustrating.  Mitchell has had a few tears and tantrums over us not letting him touch or play with certain items, and I had to move all my fragile ornaments to higher branches.  But overall, it's been a fun experience watching Mitchell get excited at all the Christmas lights and sounds in the house.  Haha, although, oddly enough one of his favorite Christmas "toys" is the wrapping paper roll.  It's longer than he is, and he gets the biggest kick out of dragging it around everywhere.  It's the little things I guess:)  We did let Mitchell decorate his own tree (our older, Charlie Brown-ish looking tree) with his toys, and he loves doing that.  Last Christmas he was only a little over 7 months old, so he pretty much just wanted to eat everything in sight.  This year he's a little more aware of what's going on, and we're excited to watch his excitement when opening his gifts and playing with his presents.  Christmas really is so much more fun seeing it through your child's eyes:)

Here he is decorating his Christmas tree.  Notice the green ring from one of his stackable toys already nicely placed in the tree:)

"Hmm...  Where should I put this ring?"

He found the perfect spot for it:)

He kept trying to put some of his bigger toys in the tree, and kept getting frustrated when they would fall out.  This bear was one he particularly wanted in this tree...  I finally helped him stuff it in there.
