For those of you who don't know, my sisters Karen and Nicole have nicknames in our family, KK and Coco. The nicknames got started when we were little kids and were learning to talk, and one of us would try to pronounce the other's name and it would come out as: KK and Coco. Now, the nicknames have been passed down to our children, so it is now Aunt KK and Aunt Coco. Anyways, that was a long explanation, haha, but now maybe it will spare me from having to explain who KK and Coco are when I use those names in a future post:)
Well, KK and Coco came to visit us along with their children. Karen brought two of her boys, David (8 yrs. old) and Mason (7 yrs. old), and Nicole brought all three of her boys, Rylan (5), Colton (4), and Rhett (11 months). They were taking a road trip from Missouri and we were lucky enough to be one of their stops for a couple of days. We loved spending time with our family, and Mitchell LOVED playing with his cousins. It was a quick visit (they arrived Monday morning at 6:30am and left Tuesday at 8:30pm), but we managed to pack in a lot of fun during that time. We hope they will all come back and see us again soon!! Here is just a small look at all the fun we had:
| When Mitchell woke up Monday morning and saw all of his cousins, he was immediately excited!! Here is David holding him. |
| Of course, everyone knows that Uncle Chris and Aunt Sarah have the best climbing tree. The boys couldn't wait to try it out. From left to right: Colton, Rylan, David, and Mason. |

| Next we decided to let the kids get rid of some of that excess energy they stored up on their car ride, so we went to a park. Here are David and Mason on the ferris wheel. Haha, I love Mason's "Let's Do This!" face. |
| Colton and Rylan loved the airplane ride! |
| After dinner we took the kids to Reed's Dairy. They enjoyed looking at the baby calves (the one in the picture was just days old), watching them milk the cows, and then of course, having the dairy's homemade ice cream. |
| Waiting in line very patiently for their ice cream. Mitchell couldn't share mine fast enough. I would give him a bite, then I would take one; but every time I was taking my bite he was moaning and yelling at me to give him another bite. This boy needs to learn patience!! :) |
| We have a sleeper sofa in our living room, but all the boys opted to sleep together on our sectional couch in the family room. It is definitely big enough for them all, but I think the biggest draw was they all wanted to be next to the big screen T.V. :) |
Of course, no visit to our house would be complete without playing some video games (the kids just love to play with Uncle Chris... they think of him as a video game guru). Their favorites were Mario and Dance Party.
| Nicole's youngest, Rhett, is 3 months younger than Mitchell. I think Mitchell enjoyed being older than someone, because he definitely was letting Rhett know who's boss. Here he is leading Rhett up the stairs. |
| Here is Mitchell showing Rhett the buttons on our air conditioner. Haha, more like hogging the buttons. You can tell Mitchell is an only child because he didn't like Rhett touching his things, playing with his toys, or getting more attention than him. Let's just say Mitchell still needs to work on sharing. |
| Here they are going through the toy basket. No matter what toy we gave Mitchell he always had his eye on Rhett's toy. He would normally lunge forward to grab Rhett's toy unless we stopped him. Chris said this is why every kid needs a sibling... to learn to share:) |
Here are the boys grabbing at the same toy. Haha, Rhett actually started to "fight" back a little:)
| Nicole's mother-in-law was coincidentally also in Idaho Falls at the same time and was staying at a local hotel. She very kindly invited us all to come and enjoy the hotel's pool. Mitchell has been a bit skittish about getting into pools (we think it is mostly the water's temperature he has an issue with; it has to be JUST right.), but I thought if we started in the hot tub that he would "warm up" to the idea. Haha, like my pun?:) He was a bit nervous about the pool at first, but after a while he started to love it and play around. |
| He loved me spinning him around in the water. |
| Haha, this picture cracks me up because it perfectly shows everyone's demeanor at the time. David (in the back) and Rylan (in the front) are acting goofy and playing around which they did a lot, Colton (next to me) is looking off and not paying attention and he often likes to play in his own world, Mason (far right) is in the middle of coughing because he swallowed some water and no matter how much we all begged he wouldn't stop doing it, and then Mitchell is giving his deer-in-the-headlights look (classic Mitchell). Funny boys:) |
| Here is Mitchell kicking and laughing in the water after he started to enjoy the pool. |
Here is Mitchell kicking and swimming in the water. He almost didn't want to get out of the pool when we were done.
Fun! I love it when my sisters and I get all our kids together and they get to play with their cousins!
