This weekend we decided to get out of the house and explore our home. We had some gorgeous, sunny weather so it was perfect timing to get out and see what the Pacific Northwest has to offer. We decided to head towards the Olympic Mountains and visit Cushman Lake and then continue with an afternoon drive around the Hood Canal. It was such a fun day filled with beautiful scenery and beautiful people:) We really love living here (we could do without the high cost of living, but I guess we can't have everything in life, Lol). There is so much to see and do. But we do also miss being near family. Maybe one day we can move a little closer to Missouri, but until that day comes, we will be busy exploring and enjoying the Pacific Northwest.

| Hello Gorgeous!! Please pinch us, because I can't believe we get to live here! |
| Here's a little melted snow runoff (waterfall) for you. |
| Mitchell was a little more interested in throwing sticks in the waterfall. |
| Ta Da! One of Mitchell's go-to poses. Lol! |
| One of the steeper paths down to the lake. |
| Since we had the kids with us, we decided to find a more gradual path down to the water:) |
| Sunbeams:) |
| So happy to capture these Father and Son moments. |
| I ❤ them. |
| Mitchell with rocks in hand, ready for some good throwing action into the water (his favorite). |
| Still just chilling; enjoying that sunshine. |
| You can't beat those views (both of the scenery and the boys:). |
| Lucky for him the Pacific Northwest is not short on rocky beaches. Splash! 💦 |
| He totally came up with this pose all on his own. He's such a little model. 🕶 |
| 🎵 Sunshine on my shoulders makes me happy 🎶 |
| Hugs ❤ |
| The water was so clear! |
| He's all boy... he likes throwing rocks and climbing rocks:) |
| I love this picture. I think it makes him look like he's actually pretty high up, climbing that mountain. |
| Mountain men. |
| Is anyone else getting a Robert Redford as Jeremiah Johnson vibe from Chris's look? Haha, he has totally embraced the Pacific Northwest/Lumberjack look since we've been living up here. Hey, when in Rome... |
| Off to explore. |
| I'm pretty sure they are the cutest! |
| Actually, this might just be the cutest... without being prompted, Mitchell put his arm around Duncan and held his hand. Awe!! They really do love each other:) |
| And one more because Duncan's cheeser smile here made both Chris and I laugh out loud. Haha! |
| He found these stairs much easier than the rocks:) |
| Some final views on our drive back home. |
| Crossing the Hood Canal, leaving the mountains there in the distance. A beautiful end to a beautiful day. |
