Joy School

This year we decided to join a preschool program for Mitchell, called Joy School.  We actually were supposed to join it last September, but our time in San Diego was extended so Mitchell had to wait until this January to start.  He loves it!  It is two days a week, for just a couple of hours, but he has already gained so much from it.  The other day Mitchell put a tissue on a stick and was pretending it was a flag.  Then he came up to Chris and I and insisted we put our hands on our hearts and stand up.  We had no idea what he was doing, until it dawned on me, that every morning in preschool the kids say the Pledge of Allegiance and Mitchell was wanting us to do the same thing.  It was very cute.  Also, I hope it wasn't disrespectful that we said the pledge of allegiance to a tissue on a stick.  Lol!  But, he is making a lot of friends and is really learning a lot.  It is so much fun and I'm glad he gets to be a part of it.

His first day of preschool!  He was so excited to wear his backpack:)

Last week his class had a Valentine's Day party at school.  They all made Valentine's for their moms (Awe!).  Here is Mitchell with his whole class:  Mitchell, Jackson, Alexander, Emmy, and Ava.

They decorated some Valentine's boxes/bags to put all of their Valentines in after they exchange them.

After working on their Valentine's decorations, they enjoyed story time.  All of the books were about Love to stay on theme:)

After the kids exchanged Valentines, they enjoyed working off their sugar highs from all of the Valentine's cookies they consumed.  Haha, to be a kid again and have this much energy:)
