Christmas in Missouri - Part 2

The second half our of Missouri trip was spent in Jackson with Grandpa and Grandma Owens.  They were sweet enough to wait and open Christmas presents until after we arrived in Jackson:)  Santa also left us some goodies in our stockings there!  We really cashed in on this Christmas, Lol!  It was a relaxing week spent with cousins, shopping, eating at all of our favorite places, and plenty of game nights:)  Mitchell loves being around all of his cousins!  He follows them around everywhere like a puppy dog:)  We love you family and can't wait to see you all again!

Family Christmas fun!  Jillian, Aunt Christine, Kathryn, Grandpa, and Aunt Tanya.

The boys' cousin, Kathryn, also has a December birthday; so we decided to celebrate Kathryn and Duncan's birthday together.  Only, without Duncan.  Haha!  After all of the Christmas presents opening fun, Duncan started to get a bit overwhelmed and fussy, so we had to put him down for an evening nap.  He had had a long day, so he didn't quite last until his party.  Lol!  Hey, it's his party and he can cry (or nap) if he wants too:)  He was represented on the cake though (see his number one candle?) and Kathryn was kind enough to also blow out his candle.  Happy birthday Duncan and Kathryn!

Mitchell loved helping Grandma clean up the next day after all of the Christmas festivities.  I sure hope this love of cleaning lasts for a while:)

So... we need Kathryn to move in with us immediately!  Lol!  She was such a great helper with the boys.  She wanted to do everything for Duncan: feed him, hold him, babysit him, put him down for naps, change his clothes, and change his diapers (even the poopy ones!).  If it involved Duncan, she wanted to do it.  She told her mom, "Don't tell anyone, but Duncan is my favorite cousin."  Lol!  Oops, sorry Kathryn, I just spilled your secret on the Internet:)

Mitchell loved hanging out with Grandpa in his chair and watching T.V.  Haha, Mitchell is so mesmerized here as Grandpa introduces him to the Three Stooges.  Hope Mitchell didn't pick up any slapping or hitting habits from watching Larry, Curly, and Moe:)

Duncan was in heaven as Grandma showered him with love and kisses:)

Enjoying game night with his cousins.  This is his poker face... Mitchell takes game night very seriously.  Lol!

I don't recall who was winning this hand of cards... probably Grandpa:)  He really isn't one to brag (Lol!), but he did say he mastered this card game pretty fast after learning it.

Sorry for the blinded faces in these pictures.  Taking a picture at night, with flash, while bright sparklers are flashing, don't really make for the best pictures.  Lol!  But these were part of our New Year's Eve celebrations!  I thought Mitchell might be nervous to hold the sparklers, but he wasn't at all!  And cousins Bodie and Kathryn were obvious experts already:)  Happy New Year everyone!

Uncle Dave and Duncan became fast buddies.

A man and his dog; a hard bond to break:)  We sure do miss her... she slept with us almost every night:)

Grandma was kind enough to babysit our last day in Jackson so Chris and I could enjoy a date night.  We came back to find a very content Duncan who didn't seem to miss us at all.  Lol!  Thanks Grandma!

Mitchell really really like Grandpa's gift.  We had a little trouble convincing him to give it back:)

Mitchell really loved seeing Nora again.  He crawled around and followed her everywhere, played tug-a-war with her, and loved to play keep away with her doggy toys.  Haha, he sure missed her, but with all of the teasing he put her through, I'm not sure if the feeling was mutual.  Lol!
