It's Zoo Time

A few weeks ago, one of my newly made friends here in Washington invited us to go to the Tacoma Zoo with her and her kids.  (Side note: she also invited a few other ladies and their kids, and one girl I met is actually getting ready to move to Idaho Falls; her husband got a job where Chris used to work, doing the exact same thing Chris did there.  Small world.  Haha, maybe he is Chris's replacement).  The zoo here isn't too big, but nice.  I think our family has been spoiled by the St. Louis Zoo and how incredible it is, but Tacoma's zoo was still a good time.  It was the first time Mitchell was old enough to really get anything out of it.  He loved it!  Which is really all that matters:)

The Zoo entrance.  One thing this zoo does have over St. Louis's, is the view.  It's kinda hard to see in this picture, but we had a great view of the water and mountains from here.

There were plenty of animals and fun to be had at the zoo, but Mitchell's favorite part was the lady blowing bubbles.  He had the best time dancing around in those bubbles.

Checking out a walrus.

He loved the seals as well.

Lions and TIGERS and bears, oh my!

Enough monkey'ing around!!  Mitchell made monkey noises for about 20 minutes after seeing this monkey.  Oo-Oo-Ah-Ah!

He stood here for the longest time, totally mesmerized.  The crowd didn't bother him at all.

For some reason he thought the jellyfish were hilarious.  He kept laughing at them.

Haha, even Duncan liked the zoo.  Here are the boys checking out some really sharp teeth.

And his absolute favorite part (besides the bubbles:).  Sharks are quickly becoming Mitchell's favorite animal. (Sorry about the blurriness... these suckers were swimming around pretty fast).

There's nothing like climbing around on a playground after a hard day of seeing animals:)

It's hard to hear Mitchell's squeals over the crowd, but you can see his excitement as he jumped up and down!  He's loving the seals!  "I see another one!"

Can you spot Mitchell through the crowd, climbing around like a little spider monkey?  Big mistake going to the zoo during spring break, Lol.  But again, all that matters is Mitchell had a great time!
