Memories With Meemaw

While Chris and I were busy exploring Las Vegas, Chris's mom was kind enough to fly out and watch our boys for us.  It is such a treat for them (and us) to have their Meemaw around.  And as an extra treat, she stayed in Washington with us for her birthday and we also celebrated Thanksgiving while she was here.  It was a great time had by all!

Reading time with Meemaw is the best!  Especially when it's books about the Titanic (Mitchell is a little obsessed).

We love visiting Port Townsend and exploring the beach.  And there is no better excuse to make the drive up there than for Meemaw's birthday!!

The scenery is so pretty in Port Townsend.  And in true Pacific Northwest fashion, it was windy, cool, and had overcast skies (lucky for us the rain didn't start until after we left).

The boys didn't seem to mind the wind.  They were too busy running around and throwing rocks (their favorite past time).

Besides throwing rocks, they were busy climbing rocks... and finding rocks for their rock collection... you know, really they love anything to do with rocks.  Haha!

Sharing secrets.

On the look out for some whales.  Unfortunately, we didn't see any on this trip.  Maybe next time.

We decided to go ahead and put up our Christmas tree early this year, so we could celebrate the Christmas season a little bit with Meemaw before she had to leave.  Mitchell was very excited to put the star on the tree (with the help of his daddy).

And right before Meemaw left, we decided the night called for some homemade hot chocolate, a cozy fire, and watching the the Christmas movie, Home Alone.  It was a great way to end Meemaw's visit.  Although, we are always sad to see her go.

Chris and I brought back a souvenir from Las Vegas for the kids... some good 'ole Vegas magic. Lol!  They were so amazed and excited!  It was really fun to watch them loving it so much.

Of course, dance parties are a must when Meemaw is visiting. And in case you didn't know, light sabers make great guitars. Lol!
