Trip to Mesa Falls

Sorry about the blogging dry spell... things here in the Swisher household have been busy lately.  Though, a few weeks ago, we did find time to get away for the day and visit Mesa Falls.  The falls are about an hour away from us near Ashton, ID.  It was a gorgeous, scenic drive out to the falls and there are some fantastic hiking trails all around the falls in the mountains (We, of course, did not hike too far because we had Mitchell with us... Haha, and that's our excuse and we're sticking to it:).  The views from the falls were breathtaking.  It was definitely a fun, family day!

Mitchell enjoying the view of the river.

Mitchell glanced at the waterfalls, but his favorite parts were the stairs and boardwalk.  He could have walked up and down them all day.

He did like how he could see over the fence when on his tippy toes.  And he has recently learned the word "flower," so he was excitedly pointed at any flowers:)

By the Upper Falls.  Mitchell is thinking, "Yeah, this is great... But can I go back to climbing the stairs?"  Lol.

Gorgeous Upper Falls.  I love all the moss on the cliffs across from the falls.

Waterfall selfie.

Splash zone!!  Standing on top of the falls.

At "home" on the stairs.

Mountain view of the Lower Falls (they're basically just down river from the Upper Falls).

Panoramic view of Lower Falls.
