On January 15th, we finally found out we are expecting a little boy! Yeah! To quote Chris after we found out, " YES! I HAVE AN HEIR!!" I guess he is expecting to teach our little prince all he will need to know to take over the Swisher Kingdom someday.

The hardest part after finding out was to keep it a secret from Chris's family. We were waiting to tell them in person that coming weekend at our "Reveal Party." We had ordered a cake, which would be dyed either pink or blue inside, depending on the sex of the baby; in our case, blue. Man, I tell ya, it was VERY hard to not use the words "he" or "him" when talking about the baby all week leading up to the party. But, we pulled it off. Chris's mom (i.e. the new grandma to be) was given the honor of cutting the cake. She got a little teary eyed, we were all anxious, and it was such a fun moment for all. Joining in the fun was Chris's mom, Nina, his grandparents, Carl, Uncle Kevin and Aunt Vonnie. Oh, and props to Grandpa Jerry who was the only one to guess it was a boy; everyone else guessed girl.
