A lot of people have asked how Mitchell is adjusting to having a new baby in the house, and the answer is "pretty darn well." Mitchell adores Duncan. He gives Duncan kisses all the time, smiles from ear to ear when he holds Duncan, and says "baby baby" all day long. He loves being on pacifier duty; if Duncan starts to get a little fussy, Mitchell is right there to put the pacifier in his mouth. In fact, Mitchell gets upset if we handle the pacifier because that is his job:) Now, I will say that Mitchell has been acting out a little bit more for attention, but that may also just be a by-product of him being in his terrible two's. Lol. We did have a couple bad tantrum moments when we put Duncan in the bouncy seat (which used to be Mitchell's), but that has since passed. We did have a very sweet moment of panic (Do those two things go together: "sweet moment" and "panic"? Haha, I guess so:) right after we were home from the hospital. We came home on a Saturday, and on Sunday we had to go back to the hospital to have Duncan's bilirubin numbers checked (he had jaundice), and as we were getting ready to leave, Mitchell freaked out. He started pulling on the car seat, screaming "baby baby, stay baby!!" You could tell that he really was scared that we were taking the baby away and that we wouldn't come back (Afterall, the whole concept of having a baby in the house was new to him. He didn't understand that having Duncan would be a permanent thing). I felt so bad for him as I tried to calm him down, but I was also really touched at how sweet it was for him to already be so attached to Duncan. He really does love him. We do our best to make sure Mitchell feels included with everything: he helps with diaper changes, baths, getting Duncan dressed, and he is on constant pacifier duty (which he loves). Overall, I would say that he is doing great, Duncan is doing great, that we are all doing great:)

| Mitchell meeting Duncan for the first time:) He was immediately smitten (as we all were). |
| Always wanting to be right next to his brother. |
| Must...Get...A...Closer...Look!! |
| Sweet kisses:) |
| We had just gotten home from the hospital, and Duncan was out of his car seat for maybe 30 seconds, when I turned around and saw this. He was just gunning to try that thing out. Lol. It's crazy that he used to fit in that car seat. |
| Oh the humanity!! He's was so upset when we put Duncan in the bouncy seat for the first time. Haha, and he definitely didn't like having his picture taken... he kept saying "No cheese, no cheese!!" (Since we tell him to say "cheese" when we do take his picture, Lol). |
| No worries, eventually Duncan would need to be fed, which would give Mitchell the perfect opportunity to try out the bouncy seat for himself. Man, I can't believe he also used to sleep in this thing. |
| This is the very first time he held Duncan. Just look at that excitement!! Pure happiness!! |
| I catch him all the time, just staring and smiling at Duncan. He's so enamored. |
| Haha... Mitchell thinks it is the funniest thing that Duncan will pretty much suck on anything. You can't see it in this picture, but Mitchell was giggling pretty hard. |
| "Look mom! I'm in the picture too." Haha, I started to take a picture of Duncan, and Mitchell, just as casually as can be, slides into the picture. Yes Mitchell, we still love you:) |
Here's an example of Mitchell seeking out his negative attention. Haha, sometimes it is hard to parent when all we want to do is laugh instead. Mitchell started out across the room yelling, which we tried to ignore, hoping he would stop once he didn't get the response he wanted. Haha, so, he decided to get right in Chris's face until he was heard. "No, love you, no!!" Lol. Poor kid... yes, we love you AND your brother:)
There some good memories right there..Meemaw can't hardly stand not seeing him yet :((( keep my babies little please.
